Philosophical Statement:
My current & ongoing work evidences contemporary influences, an
interest in subconscious imagery & spirituality. Mine is an art of process,
of moving & healing. I often encounter subconscious images in my work after
a piece is done. That is a part of a healing process. My work has moved
towards a non-representational format which allows more expressive freedom.
Surreal & subliminal forms emerge that are like an entrance to the
subconscious & are as much a reflection of nature as realistic imagery.
My varied technique involves collage on paper, canvas & canvas
weaving, which produces a rich surface texture & adds to the emotive quality
of my work.
